Storage
The storage and shelf life of elastomer products mainly depends on the ISO 2230 guidelines in the following areas:
1) Temperature – Products must not have direct heat contact, and the storage temperature must be around 25˚C.
2) Humidity– Products must be stored in a dry area.
3) Light – Products must be protected from artificial light with high UV content, UV rays, and direct sunlight.
4) Radiation – Products must be protected from ionizing radiation.
5) Ozone – Storage rooms must have ozone generating equipment.
6) Deformation – Rubber when stored, must be free from compressive stresses, superimposed tensions, and other causes of deformation. Avoid hanging sealing rings.
7) Contact with Liquid/ Semi-Liquid Materials – During storage, the rubber must not come in contact with the liquid/ semi-liquid materials or their vapors.
